Thank-you cards

I just posted a new entry in the essays section; it’s called “Thank-you Cards”. It is my story as the first son of the first son of the only son in a culture driven by pride and success. I wrote it a few years ago (before I decided to go to medical school in Australia) at a time when my once-bright future was on the brink of collapse.

Studies show that people are consistently bad at describing themselves, so I'll try to be objective. I consider myself a citizen of the world. I am a scientist by training. I love to express my opinions. I come from a Muslim background. I was born in Pakistan, but currently live in the US. Rationality and pragmatism define everything I do (and write). If I suggest something, I will try my best to back it up with facts whenever possible.

  1. Thank you card is talking about your son.It is special for your son?

  2. I’m not sure what you’re talking about… I don’t have a son and the essay is from my own point of view.
