I think giving the olympics to China was absolutely the wrong decision. Certainly there is a lot of injustice elsewhere in the world as well not excluding our own backyard, but China is extreme when it comes to the welfare of its own people. Should the world be invited to sample fruits of ruthless leadership? And what exactly about that is there to celebrate? Nothing that I can see.
